LD 33 late I’m in, but I’m in.

Yes, late I’m in, but it’s the custom to do so, so here we go.

Using Construct 2 and GIMP. Will likely use Inkscape as well.
For the sound, I guess a mix of bfxr, Reason and Sound Forge.

Good night all.

I’m in LD32

32 is the “département” where I live, so looks like I’m in.

Construct 2, GIMP, Reason, BFXR, Soundforge Audio Studio.

Good luck everybody.

I’m likely in.

As usual, GIMP, Construct 2, Reason and hopefully, with inspiration, I should have a game by the deadling of either compo or jam.

Good luck all 😀

The “I’m In” Post for #LD30

The usual “I’m in” post.
Four hours to go for the theme of #LD30, I guess I’ll stay awake ’till it’s announced, think about it a little, and have a good night sleep.

Then tomorrow/when I’m done to it and for the week-end I’ll be using:

My regular tools of choice.

Good luck to all, may you have fun making and releasing games this week-end.

LD 29 I’m in + WIP

So yeah, I hadn’t (yet) made a “I’m in” post.

As usual, I’m using Construct2.
So far I used Gimp and Inkscape for the placeholder graphics.
I intend to use Reason, Audacity, maybe bfxr for the sounds and music.

Quick update you can have a playthrough of where I’m at following this link.
This is a HTML5 game, so make sure to use a decent modern up to date browser (meaning Chrome or FireFox) and control the character with the arrow keys, WASD or ZQSD.

Still no ending to my game/level at the moment, but I felt like posting and taking a quick break nevertheless.
Any feedback appreciated and good luck to all contestants.

You can play the game here for now (awaiting for a subscription form)

Not very inspired with the title, here is a small game named “Mini LD #48”
The goal of the game is to prevent traitors from piling the 9 explosive crates and detonate them.

You can use the arrow keys to move, “S” to investigate where any worker is going, “C” to drop and switch a camera (to see a piece of room where you are not present) and “Space” to arrest the worker you’re overlapping.

Made in more or less 48 hours, a small unpretentious game.

It is an HTML5 game made with Construct2, the GIMP, BFXR and Reason.
Best played in up to date Firefox/Chrome with up to date graphic drivers.

Post Mortem – The most beautiful day of her life [Jam LD28]

My entry: The most beautiful day of her life

Goals before the jam

As usual with a game jam, the main goal is to release a complete (playable) game in the time allowed.
For this peculiar Ludum Dare (#28) I was hoping to enter/release my game in time for the compo (48h) for the first time. At worst, I was OK to enter the jam (72h) the main goal being to release.
I was also aiming at having fun, as much as possible.
I was also considering entering @McFunkypants usual side challenge. This time #NoKill.
There shouldn’t be death in my game.

Theme revealed

And as usual (especialy for the LD) on the theme reveal, it’s the time to freak out, be at first angry with the votes results, cursing all the people and their voting ways and considering not being a part of this LD/not making a game.
“You only get one”.
As I twitted at some point, at least it wasn’t “Justin Bieber <3” which happened to be one of the possible themes and just shows, in my opinion, how broken the theming choice system is.
Then after a few reflection and discussion with my lady friend Nyx, I was able to have a global idea of the game I was going for.
A kind of beat them all around the theme “you only have one chance to save your wedding” where the player would control a woman that needs to slap her way out of bimbos to get to the man of her dreams.
From this theme, very cartoony and over-the-top stereotypical I was aiming to make a fun game that wouldn’t take itself seriously.

Jumping over cars, a healthy practice before getting married, isn't it ?

Hey the usual “I’m in” post.

As usual, Construct2, Reason, Audacity, bfxr, GIMP, my regular toolset.

Waiting for the theme, possibly for the compo, or maybe for the jam, according to the time and the idea I’ll go for.

Good luck every one and have fun.

I guess I’m in

I’m in for the jam

My third participation, I’ll be once more going for the jam, working in team with my internet buddy Yann.

C2-cog-logo-(128x128)

We will be using Construct 2 and take advantage of this jam to learn more and “standardize” a way to use as a team.
So far we discussed the possibility to try pair programming (sharing screens over skype and two brains over the code).

Yann we’ll take care of the graphic assets part, I’ll deal with the sounds and music.

Let’s hope the theme is a good inspiration :)
