I don’t like this theme very much because so many people look at it and confine themselves to a game that is ten seconds long, or a bunch of ten second mini-games. There is nothing wrong with any of this but most of that style of game gets really boring. So the game that me and my friend ZestyPro are working on is a platformer game set  in multiple universes that will collapse in ten seconds. The goal is to get to the end of each level, but the universe has made it impossible to do it in one run, so you have to move blocks go back in time follow your old self and move more blocks eventually getting to the end of the level and being thrown into another universe that is harder (imagine that). So far it is mostly working but I’ve never done something similar to this before so I’m having to  learn as I go along but hey that’s the fun of ludum.

So finally got a demo put together here it is controls are a little goofy, use wasd to move, hold p and the (a or s or d) to chose a build/destroy direction then you can let go and hit e to destroy a piece of wood and then q to place it. This is still very glitchy. Here a pic fire shot wow that turned out small. Oh yea the white box is the exit which is currently under construction and the workers never removed the lock on the door so you stuck.

I’m surprised no one has said this yet or maybe some one has but I believe this should be the ludum motto, “So much to program so little time”.

So after a day of working I don’t really have anything to show except what the game should be like. The game is called Fire! for the time being. The game is about how you are in a house and have to get to an exit which is unusually high for an exit. To do this you have to destroy parts of your house which is on fire. It will have a really simple color scheme and a pretty decent song in the backgroud you can be the judge and download it here

Yo just saying I’ll be Luduming it this go around. I will be using Unity to make it happen, Blender to make the models, Paint.net for graphics, and abundant-music.com for the music. Peace
