Competition Starts Soon… I’m In!

Welp, it’s that time again. This LD I’m going to be entering, but with a bit of a twist. I’m gonna be using a different library though, so hopefully that goes well.

Hopefully all will go well, and I can’t wait to play everybody’s games!


Here’s my loadout:

– IDE: Eclipse Kepler
– Language: Java
– GUI/General Image Editor: Paint.NET
– Sprite/Texture Editor: Aseprite
– Sound Software: PixiTracker, FamiTracker, and Audacity

I got sounds in, a few basic mechanics, and a boss-fight that’s in progress! Hopefully the end result will be really fun to play.

Just on one note, if you want the first half of the library I’m using to make this game, you can download it here: http://puu.sh/5M6Fd.zip. The other half contains all the stuff for the physics, map loading, etc. Which will come with the game once it’s finished. My upload speed is terrible right now and I’d rather wait.

Very unorganized and was hacked together, but it works and does what I need it to do, which is exactly what programming things for Ludum Dare is about.

Anyway, here’s a screenshot of what I have right now:

Basic physics, you can jump again, it’s coming along pretty well. I might upload a testing build here in a bit.

Hey all! I decided to participate in this December’s Ludum Dare.

So here is my weapon loadout for this competition:

  • IDE: Eclipse Kepler IDE, with Java as my main lang.
  • Art: Paint.NET.
  • Music: Pixitracker.

This will be fun, though a ton of stuff is happening later today, so I might end up getting a late start.

This time I actually have a mostly-built game engine I’ll be using, which will hopefully save a bit of time. It was built on top of some of the things I had in my last Ludum Dare game, 10-MINE.

I seem to be holding up pretty well! finally got music and sound effects too!

Hello all! Looks like I’m entering LD again!

Here’s the list of programs and languages I’ll be using:

  • Language: Java
  • Primary Text Editor: Sublime Text 3
  • IDE: Eclipse
  • Art: Paint.NET
  • Advanced Art: GIMP
  • Sound: SFXR, for sound effects.
  • Music: Logic, for the music. That is, if I choose to have music. 😉

P.S. I’ll possibly be doing a livestream. I’ll announce more when the contest starts.
