Dumb waiter was a great project and we felt we learnt alot from it. Everyone that has played it seemed to love the game and we have had almost 270 people play the game so far. I wanted to write up this quick post on how we created the game.
Time Scale of Project (Hours Spent *Overall Between 2 People)
- Design: 3 Hour
- Prototype: 3 Hours (Player Movement, Basic Physic Catching)
- Gameplay Coding: 12 Hours
- Level Building: 14 Hours+
- Menu Building: 2 Hours
- Other Art: 3 Hours
- Balancing Refinement: 2 Hours

Lessons Learned:
- Working in team can be alot more challenging at times as you need to go back and forth with data and more communication (decisions)
- Team can also make work easier as there is less load so it can be spread across people.
- Get gameplay working first before you start doing other areas
- Work on everything first and then polish at the end. Don’t try and make it all perfect intially
