The game is finally here. http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=25225

Well, I had to cut around the corners and loose a lot of functionality I had in mind… But game is playable (I guess), so that’s good too, right? I welcome you all to play 😉screen1

Basic gameplay in place!

As the title said – you can move around, kill leukocytes, level up and mutate further your virus, and there are some basic visuals – the virus and leukocytes are constantly morphing, moving vertex along perlin noise vectors (not exactly CPU-non-intensive, but I can’t animate for my life, so… well, it works ;P). Few things left to iron out, I need to add sounds and music, and maybe I’ll have some time to add additional weapons I was thinking about.

Found a great article!

Right now i have some basic tile-based movement and tile choosing (for attack, later on). I have also basic AI, but it’s not shown here.ld

10 seconds, huh?

Well, it’s 10 AM here, so I’ve lost some precious hours while snoring aloud, but I guess there’s no sense in crying over it. I thought that this will be the winning theme, and yet, I had nothing when I woke up today. In the last hour I’ve had few more or less stupid ideas.

Basically, you have to get out of the maze, and every ten seconds the whole labirynth shifts.

You have 10 seconds to escape the room filled with guards. You can knock them unconscious and fill your slo-mo bar to help you navigate through the room.

You argue with people. After each contr-argument you have to choose your own reply in the next 10 seconds to become the ultimate arguer. With mechanics similiar to paper/rock/scissors.

There have been a few more, and I think I know which one I’ll choose – but I’ll stay quiet about it just for a while longer, when I’ll have a prototype on my hands. Nonetheless, what do you think about these ideas posted above?

First timer here ;)

I’m not really used to talking much about myself, so I’ll keep it clean and simple 😉

Engine: Unity

Art: GIMP + propably Blender?

Sound: The hell would I know. I will maybe record my own voice overs 😉
