Hi hi! First day coming to an end and I have the base of a solid little physics platformer.

I published a tool a few months ago to generate procedural tile maps from samples:  https://selfsame.itch.io/unitywfc , and it’s made level generation really easy/fun.  You basically paint a small tilemap and it generates randomized variations. I plan on having a variety of level types it will choose from, and populate spawn points for the appropriate depth difficulty.

I’m using Unity and clojure (via Arcadia)

Feeling better about this turning into a game in the next ~24 hours.  Think it could go a couple directions, either a cookie-clicker-like where you buy tiles and make a machine that makes points, or puzzle levels where you have to rearrange movable tiles on the map to solve a puzzle.

The bad news is I just found out my tween lib is not working in published game builds, so I’ll have to sort that out. But at least I’m finding this out now and not during the submission hour!

danceAfter I made the character, I noticed they danced rather well.  This was meant to be.

I have a simple idea for gameplay too! There will be beacons on the stage that you will have to get the dancer to on time, with a simple scrolling coreograph score at the bottom.

If things go really well, I’ll put in spins and jumps as other timed tasks.

I’m hoping I can make a rag doll torso and arms that will auto stabilize but will flail around when you are fighting.  Starting to think this will be a third person game, where you have to pick a ridiculous weapon then exit into an arena and hope you had better choices than your opponenets.
