More levels!

In my compo I did not manage to get all the levels I wanted in. So here they are! instead of 3 there are now 6 levels, 3 completely new and 3 revamped. The last two have some real hard parts. If you manage to complete the game let me know!

That is what I ended up making for my second Ludum Dare. My first one was LD24 so that was a while back, it definitely went smoother time time. And oddly the game controls I made feel pretty good. With some balancing this could become a real nice control scheme. My theme was ‘Two buttons only’, the second theme is only used in the title.

The only thing really missing is sound. I would liked some more levels however. I will be making some more levels and release them later. I’ve put my personal records for the levels in my entry.

Since i had problems with a fun idea i started 1 day late, i might try to reach the jam but im not sure.


But never lose your smile! And do funny things with the code!

After a horrible time with no idea i managed to get a cool idea! (Still secret :3)

But the “no idea time” gave me some time to focus on a better resource loader and gui menu (you probably won’t notice any of these things :'( but they made the game a little better and will help with the real coding)

After a terrible age of single threaded games, i finally found out how to use multiple threads! I have googled many hours before, but today i found an open source engine called Jrabbit I didn’t look at it to much but i found their javadoc while i was googling, and found the object WatchableGLThread An that is exactly what i was looking for! You can find the source code or use the engine itself.

This is just i message for al LWJGL Developers who had problems with this. I think there are alot of people who had trouble with this! Good luck developing!

Holiday Programming Final.

After my first LD(23) i was gladly awaiting the next ludum dare in the vacation.

And there it was! YEAH!!! Finally i would have all the time 😀 But wait! there is more :/ This ludum dare is in the last weekend of my vacation D: So again i will be faceing my old enemy… Sunday evening. Though school starts at 3pm the next day, i will still (try) to sleep early sunday eve.

I already know what i will use (The only stuff i am good at)

Programming: Java usuing LWJGL(OpenGL) and Slick-util

Graphics: Paint.net (Maybe something new)

Sound: SFXR, and audiacity(if i manage to make a track)

And not only will i struggle with Sunday evening, I will also be meeting my graphic skills again. wich have grown better though 😀

I can’t wait for LD24 to start! Yay!

After a good weekend of coding im done with my first Ludum dare (Yay!!!)  I have lost of fun, learned new things, also failed at some things, wich i next time will know beter, made some stupid mistakes, wich are the result of not alot of time and stupidy. but after all it was fun, and im happy i am finally done!
