might be taking part this time, if i like the theme, and also if i find the time.

Not really sure what tools i’ll be using, it’ll probably be python/pygame, or js/phaser.

worked on my game for a few hours, but it just sucks. Not really original and it doesn’t stick to the theme. Probably not going to keep working on it as it isn’t fun :(

so yeah ill probably just use phaser again this time. Hopefully i’ll structure the code better than last time so i can have more than one level. No idea what i’ll do for sound, but art will probably be placeholder stuff from paint.net. Maybe i’ll get my friends to do it and enter as a jam, but we’ll see.

well i think i’ve had enough – for today anyway. I managed to get the core mechanic of the game down, but my poorly organised code is making it a nightmare to add the features that would make this fun. I’m happy with what i’ve accomplished considering i only started using Phaser a few days ago. You can find on my site. I might add more on monday.

the game is about connected layers which make up the world. The player can only interract with one layer at a time, so has to change layer quickly lest they fall out of the world. fun for about 2 secs :)

have finally had an idea, until now i’ve just been building a generic platformer. here’s what it looks like

I still need to add the main mechanic, maybe i’ll finish a game this time!

The “I’m in!” posts were going on as usual when suddenly,
jawm descended from another dimension,
the other participants shielded their eyes from the brightness of the shiny Charizard upon which he flew…

Suddenly he spoke, in a loud booming voice for all to hear:

“You shall all be thrown out like yesterday’s jam”

I will show mercy this time, by chanelling my power, focusing it on the task at hand…

The codez shall be javascript in form … following the way of Phaser

The artz shall be the result of perfect many seconds of patience, using paint.net

But what good is art without a gallery? for this we use Tiled, to display my unlimited creativity

And for music I hear you asking… well that’s easy

TBH i don’t really know what i’m going to do for sounds/music. Maybe record some sounds around the house on audacity or sumthin…

I hope to do the compo, but we’ll see…

thisll hopefully be my first ld (woo). I wasnt going to but then thought, why not?

i would use python/pygame,  but feel i could do a better job with game maker lite. If i do manage to polish my game, audio will prob be recorded by me, edited with audacity.
Also, chances are my game wont be done on time, but its all good practice

thats pretty much it i think, hoping theme is space :)
