Nature Sim 2015 Postmortem

This was cool!  I released a full game, although it is not a “full” game in the sense that it seems like a small part of a real game.  Nevertheless, I can have a sense of fulfillment by the fact that I made a game with sound, art, and game play!  However, I feel like not enough people are offering feedback, and by effect playing it.  Please do:

I Just wanted to say thank you for 20 votes, and I hope I can get the full game out (yeesh, that’s gonna take a while).  In the comments, do you think game engines are worth it?  Are you against them?  Just a topic I want to know how others feel about. :)

Accomplishments- Part 1

This is going to be part of the new blog posts I am going to do, which just list what I have accomplished since last post.  (working on a game).

(If you want to read a post-mortem, just read literally any other blog post you can find.  99% likely to find one directly above and below me anyways)

– I have finally accomplished a program which causes enemies to move towards you if they see you!  I have been working on this a day or so, and I am so happy to have finally done it!

– Parkour mechanic (wall climbing & jumping) Although not a hard addition, it made the game so much more enjoyable, especially when I am bored.

A Skeleton of a Game

The game I made was really a look into what I am doing at the moment.  It is a skeleton of a future game, otherwise known as an engine.  I have, by now, added a parkour system to the engine.  I am proud of how this little preview turned out, actually, as it forced me to find a way of easily displaying text on the map and gave me the first idea of how the gameplay is going to turn out.  I do not expect more than 9 votes, but I am happy, as always, of participating in the jam.
