This is my third time participating on Ludum Dare! Hopefully I can come up with something better than last times :)

I’ll try and stream the process whenever I get the chance on twitch.tv/aldiansolkai

Tools I’ll be using:

  • Game Maker Studio: Due to my experience and workflow with it
  • Paint.NET: Pixel art
  • Sunvox: Music
  • Bfxr: SFX
  • Beer: Because, why not?

Looking forward to playing all the amazing games you guys make!

Mainly finished!

I managed to complete the main features and (hopefully) erase all bugs.

The game is called ‘Rock, Paper, RPG’, try it out and tell me what you think about it: @AldianSolkai

Download

The controls are ‘Z’ and the arrow keys. Hold ‘X’ to speed up the text. ‘M’ to mute.

Basically it’s a Rock, Paper, Scissors game with a simple HP and Leveling system. The rules are as follows:

-Normal attacks hit before magic can be cast.

-Blocking an  attack allows you to counter back.

-Magic can break through any defenses if not interrupted.

I’ll use today’s time to polish as much as I can. My wanting to do list:

-Get some playtesters

-Balance the difficulty if I manage to get the testers

-Title Screen

-Second Music

-More SFX

-More enemies

-Instruction Screen

-Some story(, maybe…)

-And end? (Probably not)

Progress

So I’ve made some progress on my game. I finally managed to get a minimalistic interface going on.

Now I’ve gotta work on what’s left of the gameplay and then work on the progression of the game.

It’s gonna be an infinite game for the time being. I’ll decide later if I’ll add an ending or not, depends on my creativity.

Feel free to tell me what you think about this: @AldianSolkai
