So since submitting my game “Jupiter Lander” I added a few more polish elements I had wanted to get in this weekend.  I don’t know what the rules are on putting updates onto the games page, so I figured I would put it here instead.

Hello all! I have finished my first LD entry and I’m pretty happy with it.




The game is a take on Lunar Lander, and I wanted to play with the idea that beneath the surface of what we see on Jupiter, the storming clouds would go in different directions at different speeds and create a really difficult scenario for trying to get a lander on the surface, especially compared with recent successes on Mars.

I had also wanted to put more clouds and dust flying through the mid sections, and asteroid-like boulders to avoid, but those were considered more “wishlist” and had to remain out.

I was also thinking of making the landing area tumultuous and rocky, with only a single safe spot to land, but figured it was hard enough as it was I wanted people to be able to play it.
