Hi there!

We have finished! http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-24/?action=preview&uid=16484

The game is not finished because we didn’t have time to include all the features we planned. We will finish the game as soon as possible and also the game we developed on the previous edition.

In this Ludum Dare we learnt a lot and we have created our team :). We are very proud of our games and we want to participate on the upcoming editions.

Please, wait for the post-mortem and we will talk later ;).

See ya!.

About the game, we have made some progress but there are a lot of work to do.  We still have about 13 hours and we want to finish the game, at least the basics.

Sorry but no screenshots this time ;).

See ya!

Time to code!

Hi there!

We have finished the game design and after breakfast we will start coding. Last edition we used the Slick engine based on lwjgl. While developing the previous game we created an engine based on Slick called Frisky.

The engine is still in development and it lacks of documentation but for us is a good start point.

The game will have the following mechanics:

  • It is divided on different levels. In each level you must “save” specific humans and bring them (kill them) to the next step on the human’s evolution.
  • The converted humans are controllable and you can use them as a distraction for example.
  • As a zombie you can walk, make noise, bite human and split/join groups.
  • On the first beta there will be two types of enemies: the fleemen, scientists that will flee when see the player and fighters, soldiers that will fire the zombies from the distance. We have planned another type of enemy called Warder but we will leave it for now.

We are developing using Github as a SCM and you can follow the development on this repository.

See you!

Hi there!

We are InfiniteDog and this is our first Ludum Dare as a formal team. On the previous edition we developed Mothly’s World and we decided to create a team.

We have finished the brainstorming about “Evolution” and we are beginning with the mechanics. We will develop a game where the player is the Zombie 0 and you will bring the civilization to the next evolution: the zombies!

It will be a funny game and these are some mechanics:

  • Control the Zombie 0 and bite humans to convert them.
  • Use your dead brain to approach your enemies carefully like Solid Snake
  • Make friends (biting humans) and use them for your personal benefit.
  • Just eat brains for fun!

See you soon!
