Room Escape Escape

And again, taking part in Ludum Dare was very exciting!

Our team was rather small: only me (concept & audio design) and supr, who created the graphics and did the programming part.

The game we made, Room Escape Escape, is a deconstruction of the room escape genre and at the same time a tribute to it. It also pays hommage to Toshimitsu Takagi’s classic room escape games, such as Crimson Room.

Play and escape the Room Escape itself!

The submission time is very close, but only now it’s finally clear how the game should end. Well, better late than never!

We are working on a game that is intended to be a deconstruction of the Room Escape genre (which I used to like a lot).

By now, we can boast some really cool glitches 😀

Wow, we’ve done it! Don’t Look at Me still needs to be polished, but it’s here, and that’s great! Ludum Dare was a wonderful and exciting experience – I will never forget that feeling I had when we submitted in almost the last minute :)

As for the game, it’s a bit pshychedelic, but that’s the point, and I hope it communicates the mood it was intended to communicate. Give it a try – see what it means to live in an insane, constantly shapeshifting world. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

Our game, Don’t Look at Me, is coming soon (of course, if we manage to finish it in time), and it’s going to be quite strange! Check out these crazy shapes created by supr:

For me, it’s not only the first Ludum Dare game, but it’s also the first game EVER, so I’m very excited.
