Well, I wasn’t considering to participate on Ludum Dare 33. I had some commitments this weekend and my previous idea for a game was too complex for the available time. BUT, yesterday at night this new idea came to my mind. I had less than 24 hours to finish it, besides I had to work today. So, my available time was pretty short, but the game would be pretty simple, so I decided to try it… and I couldn’t make everything that I wanted hahaha but I could finish the main concept.

This is the first time that I decided to submit an entry as Jam (and not Compo). I couldn’t finish it in the first 48 hours because I had many commitments this weekend.

Well, but that’s in the past. Now comes the best part… it’s time to play A LOT of games! \o/

Took me almost 2h but I already have an idea of how will work my game. Basically, there will be 4 different characters and each one has to catch the element that corresponds to him. The player can change the character focus using the keyboard keys: 1, 2, 3, 4. And the character will move with the arrow keys: left, right.

Now, I have to try to make it fun 😛

Graphics: Photoshop / Illustrator / Flash

Sound: as3sfxr, Bosca Ceoil, BeepBox

Edit:  “Illustrator / Flash” included on Graphics after considering to work with vectors instead of pure pixelart. I work faster with vectors than pixelart and I don’t have too much time.

Although my game isn’t on top 100 of any category, I’m very happy with the results 😀


I think I’m still an amateur guy in comparison with the top 100 and this was my first LD submission (finally, after two failed attempts). But I feel I’m improving my skills compared with my work of a few months ago, especially the graphic part.

I have learned a few things doing my entry and it was a very good experience. Also, I’m glad to have received many feedback. But one of the best parts of this LD was to play the other games… and I played a lot!!

Hope to participate on next LD 😉

First of all, I want to work on what was on the original plan and I didn’t have enough time to do:
– add Title Screen
– add Intro
– add The End: basically, a text that indicates the end of the game… a happy ending ^^
– add instructions: an arrow/something that indicates where to go.
– add music
– add more sounds
– add more sprites (car, dog, flowers…)
– improve collisions
– fix bugs

Besides, I’m considering to work on new ideas, some of them based on the feedbacks:
– make the bee bigger
– change some details on the final dialog to be more natural/friendly and less awkward 😛
– add a Time Trial Versus Mode (with new characters)

Well, I think that’s it… for now 😀
