Actually I was done early this morning, but was too tired to write.

I had a great time hanging out with Vilcans and Dreadzilla, and we all submitted our games!

I think it went pretty well this time, I was mostly finished saturday night and spent the sunday with music, graphics and bug fixes.

I’m in for the 7th time.

This time I’m going to use, in no particular order, at least:

Typescript, Tiled, Gimp, Reason, Visual Studio Code, Python, Google Chrome, and Oxford comma

I’m done!

This time I decided early on that I wanted to do an Outrun-style racing game,
using techniques from the 8-bit/16-bit era. So that is what I did,
there is no 3d in the game, just the illusion of 3d.

Yeah, I made it!

The game is called Connected Words.

Actually I was mostly finished yesterday, spent the day fixing some sound effects and trying out different ideas for game play.

I’m in for the 4th time!

I have used different libraries and programming languages each time I have entered, and this will be no exception. This time I will make a browser based game using:

  • Coffeescript
  • GIMP
  • Reason
  • Tiled
  • maybe some rendering lib like pixi.js

and perhaps something more…

Ahh, I’m finally done!

I have used some new apis or programming languages for each LD that I have entered.

This time I decided to use ClojureScript, and it has really been a pain! As expected I spent most of my time hunting down mismatching brackets or parenteses or …

This time I am going to use ClojureScript,

Ok, I’am done.

Just like last time I didn’t really have time, since I was alone with the kids.

Anyway, at least I made something,

and the music turned out pretty minimalistic

and for the minimalistic sound effects I sampled my kids banging on our pots and pans.

So, I’m finally finished…

If I had more time I would have added music and an end game sequence.

 

Tools used:

Eclipse, Scala, LWJGL, bfxr, JarSplice, BMFont, GIMP, Google

Friends (Martin & Jocke), coffee and food

 

It works just fine on my Mac, but fails on my Windows box

You take the role as a Triangle that wants to evolve into a Circle.

You do that by eating green line segments spinning around in space.

IDE: Eclipse

Language: Java or Scala or …

Graphics: No idea! Maybe gimp, a bitmap font editor and a sprite editor… or not!

Library: Most likely LWJGL and Slick

Sound: A sound effects generator, Audacity and Reason
