Hexachrome : starting doodling

Hi Falks !

We’ve been working here in Montpellier (France) on our game : hexachrome. Here is the first update :)

The day started brainstorming arround the theme with other friends (which since have started their own project).

We quickly focused on a 3D platformer playing with the scale of a big squared room building small previews in Blender. For example in the following picture we were having fun with Suzane, the famous Blender monkey, and drafting a runner.

Going through iterations and discussing gameplay elements we got a precise idea during the afternoon. A simple performer game were you’ll have to find a sequence of actions on a short timing. Or something like that.

Then the team splited on different tasks : making mockups, defining the art direction (looking for references and doodling elements) and, of course, starting to test solutions in Unity.
