So, it didn’t become much of a game but I like how the circular map turned out I will definitely create this game properly some day.
Super ugly code and choppy collision detection makes it very difficult to enjoy any of the (somewhat sparse :D) platforming elements. You can even walk across the lava! I guess this is the limit of what I can accomplish in around 11 hours, I should have started earlier!
I’m off to sleep, night and good luck!
Hello! Seems like we will get another bunch of awesome LD games this year too, great work everyone!
Here is a screenshot of the game after about 5 hours of coding (yes, I’m a slow starter :P)
This is a small planet made out of tiles, I’ll post more information about the actual game in future posts!
I started coding when there was around 12 hours left, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish the project in time for LD. The game is based on some of my old game ideas and got me really motivated so I’ll definitely finish it anyway though!
Hello again! The linux binaries (and source) are up! These are post-deadline versions where nothing except the necessary has been changed. In order to get the game working on linux I’ve changed the following things:
Nothing else has been changed (in order to not cheat!), so there’s still a couple of bugs in there which can be used to get higher scores etc. I’m not going to tell you where though 😀

I should probably mention that you can move your boat using the arrow keys and repaint it while sailing! (people often ignore the readme for some reason :D)
Hello! I’m finally finished with my game, “Sailor”.
The game let’s you build a boat and sail the sea. Try to stay afloat
as long as possible, it’s not as easy as it sounds though.
I’m way too tired to write a more lengthy post, please download the game and give it a try

*UPDATE: The readme links to the wrong Visual C++ redistributable, here is the correct one:
(Only download this if you experience problems when trying to run the game, most of you already have this installed)
