I would have posted more but I was too deep into coding and discussing with friends. Sorry-yyy!

Inspired on child’s theatre, our main character could not to role play one of the heroes and his/her mom encouraged him/her that it can also be fun to role play monsters as well and he/she should take the most out of it.

Here’s a screenshot on how’s everything right now.

It’s always the worst day for game jams. I didn’t even had the chance do fix an annoying bug that wouldn’t let me progress in the game.

Woorray, I believe it’s actually almost done! Quite simple but I really enjoyed the concept. A few more hours so I can juice this game up and here we go.

Hello hello, my name is Guilherme and I’m from Behold Studios (a brazilian indie game studio). I got into ludum dare #25 and here I am, ready for this next challenge.

Alright, let’s do this! It’s kind of a weird theme for me but I will try to do something. While talking to a friend, we thought over a nice and cool game that might fit this theme. And this is all I have by now:

All 16 places have some flavor and story related. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish in time but this will be at least fun. I’ve got over 400 lines of human readable text on my class responsible for texts in game.

I never thought I would enjoy this much making a text-based game. Placing all these puzzles and unique events in game is so damn funny. 😀

I’m writing every text into my unity’s console so I still need some class to throw all texts into my screen. I’ll just replace the Debug.Log() for my method once its done anyway and it should work.

Better Story, I guess

Now that I’ve got an interesting and better story, I’m good to go. Time to finish up some coding and implement the story through the game.

I believe the optional theme fits well since I’m going for some sort of dark side, customized hp lovecraft way here. haha

I feel in need to cut in half my project. I believe I got too ambitious when I realized it would be kind of easy to make a text-based game. But then I expanded up my project in a way I probably would have to put so much effort in the story and player decisions that I don’t really know if I’ll be able to finish it.

I was doing a 5 places story but then I expanded it to 16. Silly me.

Hello everyone, I’m one of the programmers at Behold Studios, an indie brazilian game studio. This is the second Ludum Dare I’ve participating (I can’t recall the first one actually but it was a year ago anyway) and this is my 3rd Game Jam.

Almost 20 hours already in and I believe I’m too far away from finishing my game. There were so many social things to do in this weekend and too many friends stopping by and was tired enough of a week of work so I had to sleep. haha

I really don’t have anything good enough yet to show. I’m making a text-based game because 1) I have nearly 0 skills on art, and 2) I always wanted to do one. So I believe my text-based would fits perfectly this ‘villain’ theme and this will be a game I want to play which is pretty damn important.

All the ‘travel’ through the game is already done and I’m focusing to finish the inventory feature at the moment. It’ll be a simple text-based game but I believe it’ll completely open my mind to next ones or maybe turn this one into a bigger game later. The game has 16 rooms and here’s a screenshot of it.
