Frack you, weekend update.

Its that time of the week again when i get time to update the post compo version of Frack you, the game about the dangers of hidraulic fracturing.

  • Pipes can only be placed if they connect to other pipes.
  • Added CC0 sounds from opengameart.com, a full list of credits will be available on the site shortly.

Due to popular demand and a lot of people complaining that it is too easy i had restricted pipe placement to just connected pipes. I’m still not sure about this mechanic, so i would love to hear comments about it.

Please play and tell me if you’re pro or against┬áthe new pipes mechanic.

Also please tell me if you want gas to be a limited resource that depletes as its being extracted.

Frack You, Weekend update

I managed to get some time to add some upgrades to the game this weekend.

The difficulty was slightly balanced by adding a drill, to which the pipes need to be connected.

A level map was added.

Also after level 10 you unlock the police station which reduces the unrest by 25% with every policeman you buy.

Future updates will include

* Politician support which freezes all unrest for 30 seconds (unlockable from level 20).
* Small Bonus levels in between the planets that unlock equipment upgrades, better drills, less poluting pipes, wildcard pipes.

* Sound

* Small graphic changes.

Please be sure to rate and also any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Frack you

Its still a working title (Considering other brilliant options such as “Frack Yourself”, or “Frack The Planet” , and i had hoped to get further than this stage, but i think i can finish it till tonight.

The game is about fracking, and the objective is to collect the natural gas lying beneath the earth while contaminating the water in the least possible way.

Developed using Phaser.js.

More details soon.
