I’m in again– I’ve never really been able to focus for the whole event the last two times I’ve tried- But!
This time, I don’t even have time to focus!
I have something I need to be doing tonight– tomorrow and Sunday!
But Ludum Dare is all about getting rid of the excuse that something like life can get in the way of a passionate creator!

Bah! Not this time life–

Looking forward to seeing the games that will run on my ground tier 2011 laptop (Latitude E4310 running Fedora 22)

I’ll be making something webby I’m sure– but I might try to break that pre-planned convention.
As long as it’s progress from my unfinished Java based point and click from ages ago–
As long as it’s progress from my half-hearted meteor framework MMO clicker game–

So now that I made it so the meteor can hit I wanted to try to change the way players might play against or for the meteor–

Before I add in all the good spells and heroic anti-meteor people  enjoy this latest version:

EDIT! — Already had to restart the server, ya’ll killed the countdown!

DOUBLE EDIT! — Yes you can cheat with the console, fixin’ that when I think of a good way…
Added a high score table so you have more motivation to cheat play!

I’m trying to add end game logic and sprinkles asap but I’m taking a break.

Alright… Looks like I only have 3 hours 24mins left.

That will be an hour of changing paper drawings to digital drawings.
An hour of programming the new zones.
Then I’ll spend an hour touching up everything.

Last 20 minutes will be for getting it ready to submit.

Better get going!

That’s a very quiet iPhone video of what I have so far… Still chugging along…

I don’t really know why I show the camera the code for the first 30 seconds of the video…
I guess it is because it took almost all my time.

I decided point and click it is.

I have new images and 6 7 rooms created with light based visual puzzles.

Here is ‘room0’ ‘s concept picture.

It undoubtedly leaves much to be explained but  enjoy and I’m back to work!

Shout out to Nalan for covering my shift tonight. Kudos.

Don’t know if I said so but I’m using Java.
I’ll have this code janky-pile up on the web soon too.

So.

I have created an interface in java for a point and click adventure.
I wrote tons of extra code for other stuff like a character label and timers but I’m not sure if I should or how I add any of it to my current idea.
I made sound effects a reality but have’nt recorded and audio data.

Here are some screenshots of the mess so far:

I want to add some color mechanics if you can’t tell.

Jpeg screenshots suck btw.
That little dot guy is some of the extra timer character movement collision extra bs if I do this all point and click.

Jjjjjjaaavvvaaaaa…. I’m getting the rust off the gears now.
