Almost done!

I’ve almost finished my entry for the jam, the Endless Abyss.

The player searches through darkened rooms for treasure and equipment while avoiding or defeating monsters. As a room enters the darkness, it disappears forever. When you return, the room has changed! It’s an endless, randomly generated world, all on a single screen.
Being somewhat roque-like is a great excuse for my lackluster artistic ability.

Now to add healing items and randomly scattered gold, and if time allows, better animations.

Awesome screenshot. If you could see this, you would be all like "Oh, my poor heart!".

I started by trying to remember how the 2600 game Reactor works. Turns out, I didn’t remember much.




You flip the maze pieces around (either individually rotating them, or by swapping all four at a time). After ten seconds, you have to run the maze you made, going from one corner of the screen to the next clockwise.
