I will be doing a platformer, and I have made a collision engine before and I hope Ludum Dare will allow it…

This is my second Ludum Dare, here is what I will be using:

Operating System: Ubuntu GNU/Linux (I will need to compile the game for windows, aswell)

Programming: C Language, GCC Compiler, GNU nano (editor)

Using this basecode/engine:: (includes an SDL2 wrapper (kindof), and a platformer collision engine)  (requires, SDL2):

Progress So Far

I’m working on a shooting game on one screen, so far I have a nice physics and collision engine for the player with a scrolling background that moves on itself.

I will probably add a computer AI to face the player, because there is no one to shoot and bullets aren’t added yet.

Here is a screenshot with the player in the air:

BTW you can wall jump, there is no animation yet.
