Potbelly Parasite now on WebGL

Hi! Out jam entry is now on WebGl!

Play as a parasite living in the belly of Dayne the dodgy real estate agent. Hear what he hears (and thinks) while eating what he eats.

Grow large enough to destroy Dayne, while blasting antibiotics.

We had a full time script writer on the project, who wrote all the dialogue which we then voiced.

I hope you get a laugh out of it!

Potbelly Parasite Progress Day One

What a day! Geekwuv and I made good progress on our take on the theme: A parasite growing in the stomach of a dislikable real estate agent, Dayne.

The parasite can hear everything Dayne and people around him say, and even what he thinks. We started voicing all the parts today, and given we are not actors at all, the results are hilarious, perhaps for all the wrong reasons.

We’ve also gone with 2 button controls, left clicking shoots at antibacterial enemies which reduce your growth if they make contact with you, while right click attracts food towads the parasite and increases  growth.

Tomorrow we continue to populate the rest of the art assets and finish recording the audio!

This year I’m teaming up with the hilariously dry duo from GeekWuv to enter the Jam for the first time.

I’ll be at the keyboard with one half of Geekwuv, hammering the keys noisily for maximum effect in Unity and scribbling in Photoshop , while the other half of will be coining  prose that good whisky can inspire.

We’ll be using Unity3D, C#, Audacity, BFXR and Photoshop.

Luckily the stars aligned and, by the power of Greyskull, we are all working in the same house for Jam!

I’m super pumped to be in the jam with these guys. Look forward to seeing all the entries!
