I ranked 13th Overall5th in “Fun” and 11th in “Humor” categories! that’s nicee :)




Overall in all my Ludum Dares I had the luck of being in the top 11 in all categories, apart from Innovation. That’s gonna be my goal in the next LD!

Let’s do some game alchemy!

  • Sublime Text for babbling Javascript, using @rezoner’s Canvasquery/Playground
  • Photoshop for doodling pretty stuff
  • Bitwig for crunches, bangs, tunes and all kind of noises

I’m not in my best shape and feel a bit rusty, but I’ll do my best!

Have a nice LD! and remember to eat and rest properly, little ones 😉

Hi guys!

This is my compo entry. I think a postmortem of this will be funny, I’ll try to write it when I have some time.

Early in the process I felt that its mood and feeling would be decisive, so I put my effort into the sfx and graphics, in detriment of better and longer gameplay (I usually do it, my fault :P)

People are leaving wonderful comments, which makes me very very happy! thanks everybody \:D/

Please, be invited to try the game.

I haven’t started coding yet, just planning and painting a quick mockup of how the game could look like.

I don’t know if I’ll have time to do everything I have in mind.. but I’ll try. However, I want this LD to be stress-free, I will take it very easy :)




I’d like it to be a “simulator” of Orion’s mission to Mars :)

It’s been some months without coding, I hope I’m still in shape.. Also, I bought a midi keyboard so I will try to come up with some decent original music!

Code/libraries: Html/js game. Phaser, Pixi or Amazing CanvasQuery from amazing rezoner, depending on what I do.

Graphics: photoshop + Grafx2

Music/sounds: bitwig + audacity

good luck everyone! And have some sleep, for Christ’s sake!

My game!




I wanted to add moving enemies on top of platforms, but run out of time. I’m not quite happy with the result, this LD was a bit hard and complicated:


  • Most of the Saturday I was struggling of what to do. I had many distractions, and I didn’t stop properly to think about the mechanics and concept of the game. On Sunday I just took the mess I had done and tried to save it somehow. Remember: First, think! Then, make!
  • It was my first game done with Phaser, so I had to peek the docs and examples quite often.
  • I have to polish my workflow when working with animations, spritesheets, etc.
  • I have to learn a more of Sound Design. Audacity filters are still magic to me. Sfxr is not enough.

Although the result is a bit poor, I’ve learnt and discovered new tools, which I dig!

  • Phaser is amazing for HTML5 games. Full stop.
  • In the middle of the LD, I read Rezoner published a new version of an online music composer, which I tried and it was excellent! in a matter of minutes (half an hour?) I had an original and fresh piece of music (not Otomata‘s, like in my last LD).
  • After long time wanting to, I used Tiled for the level design. Cool.

I’ve only had some hours, not full time… and this is my current screen:

I have some enemies, life items, moving platforms, and vertical scroll. The problem: this is not enough for a interesting game, and I’m a bit lost, I don’t have a clear goal. :/

I have to say, I’m very impressed with Phaser! :O it has tons of amazing stuff inside! well done Rich!

PD: obviously, all those sprites are placeholders for a ‘proper’ pixel art! 😛

Let’s do this mad thing for a second time. I will not have full weekend, but I’ll try to do my best. It will be a perfect chance to try Phaser and make a HTML5 game.

Sublime Text, JavaScript, Phaser, Photoshop, Texture Packer, cfxf, and who-knows-what for music.

May be the pixel be with you!
