I’m on the inside, i’m looking out

I’m in, i think… No real idea so far, but here is my declaration of tech I intend to use:

Javascript + WebGL, based on some skeleton framework I threw together since the last LD: https://github.com/exoticorn/game1

I wrote a WebAudio based Sfx-Editor + Player during the last week.

The editor can be found at: http://exoticorn.github.io/sfxedit/, try pasting “laser() = square(sawtooth(0, 9) * -4 + [6 / 4,30]) * [1 / 0.25,10 / 0,30]” into the text edit field and press Ctrl+S.

The Player is here: https://github.com/exoticorn/sfxedit/blob/master/src/sfxplayer.js

Should you want to give this a shot for your own project, you might want to give me a ping on #ludumdare. I’ll try for a proper release sometime after this LD.

Probably Guitare/Ukulele + Vocals

Now I need some inspiration…

It finally starts to make sense

12 hours to got and I finally have an idea what my game is going to be. The idea is to connect conductive chunks of level to pass signals to their destination. There will be multiple colored signals and each chunk can only be connected to one signal at a time.

Still no real gameplay, but a new, possibly promising direction. Build connections by jumping around the level. What for? How should *I* know?

Time for some rest…

Something interactive…

The absolute basics of 3d platforming are done. Next step: add support for the second player “down-under”. And then figure out, what kind of interaction between the sides makes sense.

An idea might be forming

I was (am?) really struggling with the theme this time round. Now I feel that I might be slowly getting somewhere. The basic idea is to have to sides (upper/lower) to the level, with two player characters, and the ability to push the level columns up/down.

Not sure how it will turn out, we’ll see.

I’m in

In the past, I rarely found the time to spend a whole uninterrupted weekend on ludum dare, but this weekend looks clear so far. Yay!

Code: I’m going for a HTML/WebGL game, re-using some code from my warm-up game Hover Rally (code at https://github.com/exoticorn/hover-rally). Ex. a shader class, some simple text printing code, etc…

Gfx: Either generated in Code or Piskel

Music: Whatever sounds I can make with my mouth

Let’s have some fun!
