Ogla style

In Ogla you manipulate … ogla

Its a strange creature who can do only one thing   eat !

By exciting them with a beam you obtain 4 level of ogla  shapeshift who permit to eat and move more easly

Remember after few second the shapeshift decrease and ogla will stay like a rock




Try the ogla style  ?

I havent done everything i wanted but the concept is playable.

During the dev i discovering that this concept can simulate a life form …..

The black life form are ogla : they search food and the beam active the shapeshift

They living on a planet where the ground change rapidly (wall of stone, forest ect …)


try a new life form

i  can “shapeshift”  this  things by clik left and rightfor finding food

i hope to finish tomorrow now that the basic code is ready


Need to add button, intro, music and balance parameter

After 20 hours awake i have a gen procedurale map and a part of gameplay, the result is really good and especialy when its animated

  1. -Only 6 tiles and different color
  2.  -a tilebased plugin under C2.
  3. -von Neumann neighborhood cellular automaton
  4. -And a lot of algorythm


The gameplay appear slowly :

  1. -The goal is too harvest mana on the map
  2. – mana création depend of the interaction of the biotope : lava, forest, and rock.
  3. -Mana influence the map devellopement and harvest efficiency



i am note sure to continue in a compo, i will see tomorrow after a good sleep

hi everyone its my second LD

The theme fit perfectly with a concept i have in mind since long time

The goal is to make an equilibre between  nature area called Biotope so the game will be call “BIOTOPE”

really funny i had the luke to see MONDRIAN paint in MOBA of NY (i leave in, france) just few week ago and i say to my girl friend :

“For the first time i like a minimalist art creation”
