Just wanna show the progress i made on my LD34 entry so far. It is a procedural generated action game. I’ve been working hard to make this a fun game to play.

I’m in, i have two important things to do this weekend, but i’ll try hard to have a game at the end of this ludum dare!

I’ll use:

GIMP for visual stuff

SunVox for music

HaxeFlixel as game engine! I have this base code on github!

Jumping n' Jumping

Here is my entry for Ludum Dare 31 Compo, it’s called Jumping n’ Jumping. This is my second ludum dare. i think i did better than the last time, both time i learn a lot!

Now i’ll work in the post-compo version, but slowly!

Tileset Gen

itch-io-coverHi, i’ve been developing this tool called Tileset Gen, it’s a tool to make draw tilesets easier!

I start to write this because i needed something like that in the last ludum dare. I wanted something to input a small tileset base, and output a tileset with 47 tiles, or 16 tiles or etc. You can read more about here!

I spent the last 2 days rewriting everything to make it better, so everyone could use! (I really want to implement palette swap, but didn’t have time!)

It can generate a tileset that works with the bitwise auto-tile algorithm (great if you use haxe flixel)!

Between Worlds and Post-Compo Version

Hi guys. I’m very happy with the result of my first ludum dare participation. I start to make games this year, and i like to always start my games from scratch to learn more, and i start my ludum dare game from scratch as well ( i made a base code some hours before compo start, anyway i had to change a lot of things in my tile-map render).

I got the idea to the game faster than i thought, so i think was a really good theme. My idea was connected worlds where you can travel between and solve puzzles to reach somewhere, so you can travel to a different world when reach this place. In my mind the worlds are connected like this: connected-worlds

I spent some good time on level design, but have some mistakes where the player could get stuck. Make a complex puzzle game in 48h it’s not easy (make a game in 48h isn’t easy).

Post-compo Version


In the post-compo version i made some performance improvements, i tried to make the player’s movement better, added a nice transition when switch the map, made a new music and i drew a character.

I really wanted to make more maps and add more features, but now i’m going back to the development of my js13k game. Maybe someday i’ll make a big game with this idea.

My game already have: Music, Sprites, 5 Maps and Sound Effects.

Need: Player sprite, preload, and maybe i’m forgeting something.

First time here, i’ll use:

Language: Javascript

Visual Art: Gimp (and maybe Krita too).

Music: SunVox (If I have time to make music).

My base code it’s on github: I’m using gulp to build, jsfxr + howler.js for audio, and i code a really simple tile map render, there’s some random sprites only for test the map render.

That’s it, hope i can make something. Have fun all 😀
