Thank you, everyone who has played ZEPTO in the past few weeks. I made a few videos of the data that I collected.

The second video shows each player labelled by the name they gave at the initial prompt. It’s best watched at 480p.

The server is still live; as always, you are encouraged to keep playing: dwrensha.ws/duoludo.

A few key things to understand:
— Every path segment you play will be saved on the server.
— You can click on any path segment in the leaderboard to start playing from that point.
— For each checkpoint, the leaderboard shows the path segment that reached it in the fewest cumulative ticks.

Hello Ludum Dare community! As we approach LD26, I want to share with you a little toy I’ve been working on. Duoludo is an experimental library that provides checkpointing and playback to any javascript game. Duoludo also has a server that saves all player actions, validates them, and serves up the best on a leaderboard, allowing them to be replayed and built upon. You could, for example, use this to crowdsource the testing of a game.

To show you how it works, I made ZEPTO, a minimalist platformer with original music. Give it a try!

I’m in!
I plan to use Functioning, a game library for Standard ML. Probably gonna make a physics game, as Functioning includes a lovely little port of Box2D into Standard ML.

Hello World

My name is David.

I plan to write a game in Actionscript using Flixel. I’ll use Garageband and cfxr for audio, and the GIMP, EDGE Touch and Brushes for graphics.

The only thing I’m starting with is my production logo.

Let’s do this!
