Initial steps!

So, I’ve got an idea and started working on it. So far I’ve got Ogmo Editor fired up, a XML reader to read Ogmo Editor’s maps, a tileset working automatically in the game and character animations! Next steps are to make a real platformer “engine” (yeah, shame on me for going the platformer route).

Well, we’ve gathered almost all members of Gamux here and everyone is participating! Those 48 hours are going to be really fun!

As for me, I already said I’ll be using FlashPunk, but here is the full list of software I’m using:

FlashDevelop (coding)
FlashPunk (engine)
Photoshop (graphics)
Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch (graphics)
XSplit (streaming)
foobar2000 (playlist)
I’m not sure yet as to what to use for music. Probably SFXR and an old tracker for the actual music

Not everyone is in here yet, but we’ll be 7 people working in here! (And I just took a lot of space on the desk haha)

We all hope a great #LD23 to you. We want to see lots of fun games to play after it’s done!

#LD22 was my first time in Ludumdare. The experience was so great that I’m definitely in for #LD23. I’ll be using Flashpunk (as I did in #LD22), but this time I’m going to dedicate more time to art and music, since last time this was pretty much lacking in my game. I’m very excited for next weekend! See you there :)
