I am in!

I will write the game in javascript. I hope to make a multiplayer game using node.js. Let’s see how far I can take this.

The game is afoot!

Shape Hockey is a physics based game written in JavaScript with the help of the Phaser framework.

Tools used:
sfxr for sound effects.
LMMS for music.
Paint.net for images.
SublimeText for code editing.

The game has been tested in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. (Internet Explorer can’t play wav. I will create mp3s if there is public demand. ^.^ )

This time I’ll try my hand at HTML5.

Behold my second ever entry, Defuse Run!

My second ever, entry into Ludum Dare is done!

I present to you: Defuse Run!

It was made with Unreal Engine 4.10.

I had 8 hours of practice with the engine before the LD 34. I had the most issues with packaging the game for release. HTML5 version may still come up if I manage to fix it.

This will be my second Ludum Dare compo!

I will use the Unreal engine for the first time.

I reckon I’ll get a few hours practice beforehand, and if nothing else, I hope I am able to produce something playable at least.

As I always say, nobody remembers a coward! :)

My first game Cake Wars is done!

The tools I used were:

  • Dart with the play_phaser package
  • GIMP and Paint.net for graphics
  • LMMS for music
  • as3sfxr for sound effects

All the tools were new to me. I familiarized myself with the tools just the week before. This is also my first game ever.

The most time was spent on creating paths for the Cakes. I got stuck and decided to just make them behave randomly and bounce around the screen.

I had so many plans for this game! But in the end, most things were cut. Instead of a boss, the difficulty increases forever. My highscore was 60 000 something. It helps if you are lucky with the drops early. The difficulty increases on a timer and not on the wave counter.

This was fun and I hope to do it again!

This will be my first Ludum Dare! I will join the Stockholm meetup and hope to have a fun time!

I plan to develop my first game using Dart of which I unfortunately have limited experience. As a first timer I anticipate that I will have to cut down on most features and work with bare essentials.

However, nobody remembers a coward! :)

The game is afoot!
