My game is completed (Compo). I am very happy with it, and the game is quite addictive won’t lie. I can’t stop it playing myself 😀

I have been wondering lately, what are advantages and disadvantages of 2D and 3D games. For some reason all my previous Ludum Dare games are 2D. Just because of that, I will make a 3D game this time. These are my thoughts on 2D and 3D differences, please add yours as well.

I feel like I am missing a lot of stuff, but I just could not figure out what it is.
It seems like majority of games in Ludum Dare are 2D, I wonder if that’s because of lack of practice or personal preference.
I will be participating for my 7th time this time :). I am so excited for this one! Someone just give me a theme, I want to make a game NOW!!!
Technical stuff that I will be using:

This time I will try to make a game with my beloved low poly minimalistic art style, what do you think about this piece:
Hello game “developists”, i am ready to make game in 48 hours. This weekend i will finally be free, not like LD31 and LD32
Tools that i used before and will use this time:
Unity
Paint.net
Random music generator randomly found in last hours of game development
Good luck and make great games!
This time i have no idea what I am going to, not even thinking about themes. Also I will have very little amount of time this weekend. I don’t know if I will finish in time. Anyway, I hope to have fun and make a game this weekend. Good luck for every participant!
BTW, i am going to use Unity 5.
I’m in for my fourth time. From my experience, I can say that Ludum Dare is all about quality, not quantity. Ludum Dare entry should be completed in 10 minutes, and that’s maximum. Only entries with unique mechanics (Superdimensional is my favorite Ludum Dare game of all time), or unbelievably amazing graphics can be noticed. So, this week I will try to improve my graphics making skills (I believe you can learn how to do unique game mechanics only with time (not one week ) )
Themes also looking very promising (Isolation is my favorite), and new page design is much more better than old one. I probably missed something, but why people create so many Ludum Dare backgrounds (I love them all)?
Tools I will be using:
1) Unity3D 4.5.5
2) Blender (if I decide to make 3D game)
3) Photoshop CS6
4) Ableton Live 9 (I am not very skilled at making music, but what I make is better than random generated music)
5)Free Countdown Timer (To watch every second I wasted watching to timer)
Good luck to all of you!
It’s my third Ludum Dare, and it’s first time when i was using Unity3D. I was very excited about this one, not whole weekend was free for me, but when i was not in my home, i was creating ideas. The idea of this game was much more explanded than it is now, as always i try make too big game in 48 hours.

It’s my 3rd time, planning to create something really fun this time, because i switched from Java to Unity3D.
Hello everyone, i am going to participate in LD29. This is going to be my second time. Good luck to everyone!
I will use Java with LWJGL (Slick2d maybe) again. Right now i am trying to improve my art skills, and i am doing it very well!
