Hey guys, “Avastory” is now available for play! Click on the GIF below to bring you to the game page.
There was a LOT more I wanted to add but even an all-nighter didn’t give me enough time. Either way, I hope you can still enjoy the game at its bare bones.
This highly informative Tori is waiting! (oh god no why would you kill it… )
Did she mention you can press “C” to interact with things? Uh, yeah, you should probably do that more often…
nope nty claws off pls
crunch time now, bye!
Not sure if we’re going to be able to finish but here’s a little gif of our game …
A game where you can talk to everything and avoid killing them… but it’s really fun if you do.
placeholder sprites and self-aware signs are so meta
Bitrun Post-Compo Update!
Bitrun has been updated! New features include:
– Gameplay balances due to feedback: the game now speeds up slower and has a lower maximum speed
– Local highscores and bitgold are saved
– Bitrun now successfully runs on iOS! (if you have the Game Maker: Studio iPhone export, you can play it on your devices, else just wait until I *hopefully* release it on the Appstore)
– More pattern variation
– Added the snail skin
– Added the Bitshop with it’s first item: the 500m booster!
– Minor graphical updates
– MORE SCREENSHAKE!
– Fixed a graphical glitch where some surfaces wouldn’t refresh upon switching to fullscreen
Check out the post-compo version in the links or just play the original compo version here:
More updates to come in the near future!
Presenting “Bitrun”, my compo entry for this LDJAM (yes, you can play as a dog).
A simple endless runner that’ll test your dexterity and reaction times, check it out here:
This’ll be my last LD as a teenager *cries on the floor*, and my third LD. I’ll be updating progress on my twitter over the weekend so feel free to follow me in the link next to my name! Good luck everyone!
Some Art and a Thank You
Thank you for the positive response and feedback for my game so far, I didn’t think it’d be enjoyed so much in it’s (very) incomplete form. I’ve had this hooded character in my head for ages and while I’m not going to finish off The Bear Hunter, he might make an appearance in a different form in a different game. So I thought I’d post a bigger pixel art version of the vengeful Hunter (which ironically, is also incomplete but was taking too long). Also, I finally linked my twitter to my Ludum Dare account. It’s just up there next to my name! Feel free to follow for art and game dev updates.
So I couldn’t post this earlier and had to finish the compo early this time round cos of irl work. But anyway, “The Bear Hunter” is my take on this Ludum Dare. Hope you guys enjoy! If you do, feel free to follow me at my recently made twitter @daviddchen for updates on my works.
Beginning to think I’m being too ambitious …
Spent too long on this …
#47 overall for my first LD? I’m beyond humbled. Thank you to everyone who has (and hasn’t :P) played my game. It was an absolute pleasure playing all your games too! I’ve loved game development for many years and when I stumbled upon Ludum Dare three weeks ago, I was amazed to see there was such a big game development community out there. Finally, congratulations to all participants – I was so inspired by the level of talent and innovation! Can’t wait for LD32!
Dabug says thank you
