It’s gonna be my fifth Ludum Dare in a row since starting with Ludum Dare #31. I’ll be using:
– Unity
– Visual Studio
– Bfxr and maybe Audacity, if I get round to audio
– Caffeine and willpower

This is my third Ludum Dare! I can’t believe I’ve done a year’s worth of these things already, since my first in December…

I’ll be using Unity (as always), Visual Studio (much better than MonoDevelop), GIMP, Pyxel Edit, maybe Blender (most likely not, 3D is somewhat out of my reach for a 48-hour project), FL Studio (if I can figure out how to use it in time) and Bfxr.

The plan is to get up just before the theme is announced (which is 2am here in England, so I’ll be waking up around midnight!), then I’ll wallow around in a mess of sleeplessness, sloppy code, various empty food wrappers and depleted beverage containers for 48 hours. Maybe I’ll even have a game done by the end…

Got a Character Selection Screen Working

I’ve been working on my entry for this Ludum Dare for about 3 hours now, some of which was spent thinking up ideas. I’ve made a character select screen, where you can pick your player’s skin and t-shirt colour!

Here’s to hoping I actually get some game in my game! It’s going to be focused on a gun that fires hugs, and you’ll have to spread the love to [insert enemy type here] 😀

This is my first ever Ludum Dare, but I’ll be going for it full force! I’ve stocked up on anything containing caffeine and gratuitously unhealthy food to keep me going.

I’ll be using Unity, but I really hope the theme isn’t Snowman, because I can think of literally nothing good for it!
