Have you ever wished you were a cat locked in a food factory with a voracious appetite? Now you can be!

Was going through some sketches and preliminary ideas that we brainstormed for LD34 and though I’d share our “before” of what we envisioned, and what our “after” of how the game turned out.  It ended up fairly close, and of course once you actually play the game then you see things like controls need adjusting and what not. If you haven’t voted yet, please check us out! Thanks!

Here’s our before sketch:

And an after shot of the actual game (only image not shown is the garbage pile):

Overall we had a blast this time around and can’t wait for the next Jam!

We finished up with about 30 minutes to spare, not bad for our first Ludum Dare entry. There’s a few small design flaws but overall I’m pretty happy with how things turned out. Definitely looking forward to LD35 and trying again!

Great progress so far!

So far mechanics and programming are pretty much done, just need to work on scoring and make it more “game-like”. Looking pretty solid so far! Can’t wait for the artists to finish up so we can replace all this placeholder art. :)

We brainstormed a few ideas, settled on one then ended up hemming and hawing over it for a few hours then went through a few iterations to finally nail an idea down. Tomorrow its game time!

#LDJAM is almost upon us!

So far we have a decent team setup, we’ve got:

  1. Programmer
  2. Designer
  3. Artist/Sound
  4. (Possible 4th artist)

We’re be using Unity 5.2.3p3 and making use of a myriad of development suites, including but not limited to: Photoshop CC. Maya 2016, Audacity, and Mixamo Fuse (Adobe now). We haven’t settled on a 2D or 3D game yet, but once the theme is announced we’ll be picking what fits the theme best.

Theme slaughter has been fun, but can’t wait for the final announcement!
