LD32smallimage_pngI’m here, i’m going to attempt to use in a logic and meaningful way this setup:

engine: sfml/c++, maybe additions like “basic engine” on top of it. not sure yet, i’m still testing things.

images: paint.net

tiles: maybe tiled. Looking for a good way to handle tile maps.

sound: audacity, cause my sounds are the best everz.

ide: visual studio 2013:community(yay!)

Foood: loads of fun things like cheeze itz, rice cakes, robineggs(wait, that’s food? LOLz), salsa zesty pringles.

drinks: a plethera of various kinds of fruit juices of all kinds, truely the best thing ever while coding along like a freight train to tease the senses. 😀

This time around, i haven’t decided yet, i’m either using:

ENGINE:

Flashpunk/as3, with flashdevelop and air/sdk. -Chevy Ray is responsible for flashpunk! thanks Chevy! (good luck with your unity stuff)

SOUND:

audacity, sounds by (me)!

IMAGES:

paint.net is still my favorite pixel editor.

CODEXUS:

tile editor by tyler moltz. Thanks tyler!

preloader/button(if i need it) by noel berry. gl noel!

NOTES:

notepad++;using chronolapse for timelapse; If you have interest in me streaming, ask. :-) i will definitely timelapse. 😀

or:

ENGINE and IDE:

c++/sdl2/visualstudio2013express

SOUND:

audacity, sounds by (me)!

IMAGES:

paint.net is still my favorite pixel editor.

CODEXUS:

if this is the route i take i’ll be using the libraries extensions, mixer, image, ttf, foo.productions tile editor, and other bits from his tuts. I’m brand new at c++ so, not sure yet on this.

NOTES:

notepad++;using chronolapse for timelapse; If you have interest in me streaming, ask. :-) i will definitely timelapse. 😀

My plan is to do a puzzle game. my first one ever. Doing it over the month. then the plan is to publish it on kongregate, due to it being a flash game.

when i do c++ in the future or c# i’ll do different publishing plans. :-)

I don’t have my website up yet so i’ll probably make dev posts ether on my twitter or in my ludumdare page. tnx.

SOUND:

audacity, sounds by (me)!

IMAGES:

paint.net is still my favorite pixel editor.

CODEXUS:

tile editor by tyler moltz. Thanks tyler!

preloader/button(if i need it) by noel berry. gl noel!

ld29imageIt’s time!

It’s that time again. THAT TIME. the time to make a game in 48 hours with boosted and insanely hot skills in the area of entertainment, code, pictures, sound, gameplay, art, and fun!

I’ll be running with the same as before since work at the rope factory has not been friendly to me in the sense of leaving me with much energy each day to tackle a new language. I will, though, do that in the future.

so, on to the stuffz:

ENGINE:

Flashpunk/as3, with flashdevelop and air/sdk. -Chevy Ray is responsible for flashpunk! thanks Chevy!

SOUND:

audacity, sounds by yours truly!

IMAGES:

paint.net is still the fastest at making the pixels i need to punch. Photoshop is great for very specific things and is excellent for realistic photo touch ups and such. i was surprised, at the last time i tried it, how hard it was to use at a pixel level.

CODEXUS:

tile editor by tyler moltz.

preloader/button(if i need it) by noel berry.

NOTES:

notepad++;useing chronolapse for timelapse; possible stream on twitch! (testing tonight)

GOOD LUCK all! xD can’t wait to see all of your games!

I’ll be running with:

Flashpunk/as3

audacity

tyler moltz’s tiled system

paint.net/photoshop(if reason allows)

Noel berry’s lighting system(if needed)

good luck to you all!

haha!

haha!

I’m in! woooo!
