In, but depends on the theme.

Going to try something new this time.  Rather than C# will be going down the HTML5 route.  Been exploring Phaser.js the last couple days.

  • Phaser.js
  • TypeScript
  • Paint.net
  • Visual Studio 2015/VSCode

As usual limited time, so aiming for simple gameplay.

Basic mechanics in place.  Need to added scoring on how close to the goal you get, increasing difficulty, summary of jump, scoring, sound effects…

Not sure the theme is that great, but I certainly can build a game with only 1 screen. :-) I have limited time to work on anything during the day,  but hopefully tonight I can move this along this evening.

Single button, skill game.

Some placeholder graphics that may or may not be retained.

Last attempt have been unsuccessful due to lack of commitment and time.

I may have a little more time this weekend and hopefully the commitment will be fuelled by a theme that inspires me.

Usual tools:

Visual Studio

Base source code can be found here:

I’m in, but very unlikely to finish anything for either compo or jam with family commitments this weekend.

Like the theme and my son has popped a couple really cool ideas out this morning.

Lets see what can be done.

Platform: XNA/Monogame but would like to try something with a wider reach.

Gfx: Paint.Net

Just uploaded BALLZ. As usual could not spend as much time as I would have liked, but works and is kind of fun… ish 😉

With my limited time, father of 3 kids :-) its a surprise that I’ve been able to make anything at all, but here it is.

I decided to give Game Make a go and focus on the game creation rather than writing c#.  First time using Game Maker and found it rather fun and I may even consider purchasing a copy for future compos.  Great for quickly getting something running and that is vital when you have less than 10 hours in the 48.

Submission coming shortly….

I’m in.. may be for the jam

No time at all this weekend.  It comes part from being a father of 3 and also a bunch of other commitments, but rather than give up without trying I might as well give it a go.

But kids do provide benefits such as unlimited play testing ( I assume that this is not against the rules for the comp).  But even more with the jam.  I can put my 8 and 5 year old to work on content creation (art/level design).

A lot as usual depends on the theme, so lets hope its something that sparks my imagination.

Rather than try a new tech this time round, I will stick with what I know.

Stuff we may use: Pencil/Paper/Crayons/Paint/Visual Studio 2012/Notepad/XNA/Monogame/Html5

Good luck all.

Global high scores are in test and will be submitted for review in the next couple days.
