Just finished up my crime simulator, Micro Mob, and submitted it to the competition.

I wrote a more detailed liveblog as I developed it on my blog -> http://www.bytesizeadventures.com/blog/ludum-dare-25-my-liveblog/

You can view, and more importantly play, my entry here -> http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-25/?action=preview&uid=17895

I also recorded a timelapse which I hope to share soon :)

I’ve just about managed to get my core game mechanics working. They’re simple but I’m hoping to expand upon them if I have time tomorrow. My next focus is on graphics (everything is placeholder for now).

The premise of my game is fighting for control of city zones. You send your thugs out to conquer zones, earn more thugs as you dominate more zones, and fight the police for control of their areas.

I’ve been liveblogging progress here -> http://www.bytesizeadventures.com/blog/ludum-dare-25-my-liveblog/

Here’s a screenshot of the gameplay :)

This is my first Ludum Dare and I’m super excited about it. Its actually the first time I’ve entered a game jam of any kind (although I’ll be entering the competition element).

Here’s what I’m using…

Framework: Moai
Sound Effects: sfxr
Music: ? (to be decided)
Art: Inkscape
Other tools (Depending on the theme and game design): Glyph DesignerParticle DesignerTexture Packer

I’m also planning on liveblogging my experience on my website here.

Good luck everyone.
