I’m in for the LD38 Jam!

I’m in for Ludum Dare 38, and running the Jam with a team this time!

2 programmers, 1 composer, and hopefully we’ll track down an artist who’s as willing as we are to yell “SCOPE!” at each other in time for the start of LD.

Using: Unity (C#), Visual Studio Express, Git (Github or Bitbucket), Paint.NET, Audacity, and probably quite a few others.

Of Course I’m In

The last few jams I’ve been in, I’ve been short on time, and some of them I couldn’t even start a game. But this weekend – this weekend a game will be made! This will be the best jam ever, or at least I’ll be trying hard to make it so. Happy to see this Ludum Dare happening even without ideal conditions; my thanks and respect go out to Sorceress, Tijn, Wan, Rnlf, Frozen Fractal, Liamlime, McFunkypants, and everyone else who contributed to this LD and all past ones.

Likely using Unity, Paint.NET, and probably some other handy tools. (All will be listed in my entry, of course.)

Also: that keynote. My respect for McFunkypants continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

I’m in (again)!

I’m in, with Unity or Phaser or…something. Back with old friends to team up and make some games, so LD35 might be the best one yet for me!

We’re In!

I’m in for Ludum Dare #33! I’ll be going in with a small team with a previous jam, using Unity and whatever other tools we think of!

I’m in!

I’m in! After being unable to participate in LD31, I’m hoping to get a lot out of this one. Such as, you know, a working game.

Engine: Unity 5 (or Phaser, possibly)
Editor: Unity 5 (obviously) and Visual Studio 2013 or Sublime Text 3
Art: Paint.NET, FireAlpaca, GraphicsGale, Krita, Inkscape, the GIMP (I have a very…special…workflow)
Audio: SFXR/BFXR, PXTone, Musagi, Audacity, Sunvox, ToneMatrix/iNudge
Other: yED and Google Docs/Spreadsheets for planning

I’ll also hopefully be tweeting my progress: https://twitter.com/cdrchdev

Ready for LD30

So I’m in for another Ludum Dare, for the competition rather than the jam this time (unless I really need that additional twenty-four hours…).

Coding: Phaser (https://github.com/photonstorm/phaser), along with the basic game template provided and some of the plugins available for it (https://github.com/photonstorm/phaser-plugins), depending on what kind of game I end up doing. Cloud9 will serve as my IDE and test server.

Image Creation: Paint.NET!

Audio: Bsfx, Sfxr, Audacity, and/or Audiotool.com, depending on the game I make.

Level Design: Tiled Map Editor (www.mapeditor.org) for level creation, along with lots of pencils and paper and both physical and virtual game pieces to plan things out.

Other: Dropbox and/or Google Drive for hosting and file storage, Steam and the World Wide Web for distractions, a variety of randomizers for inspiration (including seventhsanctum.com and http://orteil.dashnet.org/gamegen), and a number of humans to bounce ideas off of.

I’ll try to be a lot more active with posting updates this time, and hopefully using an engine I’m actually somewhat familiar with this time will make this LD easier.
