There are a lot of long posts here now, with lots of text and images. And that’s great! But it’s complicated to check out other posts when you have to scroll through such big ones. Lets make it easier to navigate through the main page and hide “rest of the story” under <!–more–> tag. Like this:

Or, in other words, just finished my first compo.


There you have it: a global strategy where intro>tutorial>gameplay. It is also sandbox (=there is no ending).

Well, yeah. I couldn’t add enough working gameplay, but at least with tutorial it looks like a game and not a spreadsheet :)


Also, there is some story, of course. And i might be able to add more of it or more of gameplay in those last hours. But i probably won’t and will continue polishing instead.

Took another break from coding (i’m slowly getting to the point when i can put it all together and call it game) and made more character portraits! Hopefully, i’ll have time to put all of them to use.

Having spent first half of the day on not very successful coding, i decided to do some sketches now and here are the results.

This time i’ll be using a new (for me) engine: Godot (which means i might actually make a more gamey game), so i took some time to learn it (resulting in this).

Other tools:

  • Music & sound: Ardour, possibly also Audacity
  • Graphics: Krita, possibly Synfig
  • VCS: git

This time i hope to actually make it in compo.

This time i’ll be making music (and probably other audio stuff) for Transient team and probably another solo entry as well (especially if theme isn’t as horrible as always).


  • Ardour (and maybe Audacity) – audio/music
  • Kate – text editor/IDE
  • Kdenlive – video editing ;⁢)
  • Ren’Py – engine (and thus maybe some Python)
  • Maybe some Krita and/or Gimp
  • Maybe Synfig Studio, Blender
  • console utilities like ffmpeg, bash and, of course, git

That’s right. I’m really tired and not creative anymore. So instead of wasting time on trying to make last-minute changes, i’m publishing it now! Since previous post i’ve added a sound track (yeah, only one, so turn just turn it off if you tired of it) and made a small, but critical fix :p

There is still lots of things to be done. Hopefully, i’ll make a jam version as well with more art, music and edited (and extended if i won’t vomit from touching it %_%) text. In any case, i’m dropping this until it’s polished.

The Day After announce

Four hours till compo ends, so i guess it’s time to at least make announce and a summary. Spent the whole first day on writing and a bit of sketching. Today made a script, art and of course, more writing. It’s been fun, even though obviously not enough time for all planned writing and proper art 😀 And definitely not enough time to think about interesting blog posts :_:

The game is considered ready, but i’ll spend left time for polishing. Maybe add more art.

I won’t publish game yet, but here’s a screenshot:



Yeah, well, that’s just a cover. I don’t want to scare you by in-game art yet ^_^. And yeah, it’s Ren’Py based visual novel.

And now i’ll get back to polishing. See you in a few hours!
