So I made 5 songs this weekend for all the dev teams to use

Had a crazy busy weekend and wasn’t able to devote nearly enough time to writing music so I went with more ambient and downtempo stuff, which is fine for some games, but not always appropriate. It’s good to add to the music collection for the next time around, though!

I really love the first track I made in Famitracker. I need to invest more time into doing pure Chiptune stuff.

Like I mentioned, all these songs are free to download and use in your team’s games with attribution. Go nuts!

You can listen to all the songs I’ve made and download them all for free to use in your games (with attribution.) Happy creating!

I’m not sure of the best way to get the word out there, but I want to make sure people know that this music exists and is free to use for your project (with attribution). Please share with your gamedev friends if you are able! https://soundcloud.com/abstraction/sets/ludum-dare-challenge

Need some last minute music loops for your game?

I just finished my ninth track this weekend, fully loopable and free to use in your game. Check it out!

If that one doesn’t suit you, maybe some of the other tracks in my Ludum Dare collection will :)

Happy creating!

I wrote 8 songs over the weekend exclusively for you guys! They span from chill ambient to chiptune to upbeat to aggressive. You can find them all right here.

If you use them, be sure to let me know so I can check out the game! 😀

I challenged myself to make some music this weekend. I don’t have the programming chops (yet) to make a full game over the weekend, but music is something I can do.

All of the songs below are free for you to use (with attribution) and designed to loop perfectly in whatever project you have. There’s a wide variety of styles and genres. I’m really pleased with how this batch turned out. Going to work on filling out a few of them more.

Happy creating! <3

First Track – Super chill and relaxed, good for towns, menus, etc.

Second Track – Upbeat, distorted, raw. Battle or boss music maybe?

Third Track – Dark and spooky, made from a request from a participating dev :)

Fourth Track – Upbeat and energetic, great for a shmup!

Fifth Track – Contemplative piano improvisation. Some bitcrushing and extra effects to create a nice ambient soundscape.

Sixth Track – Spacey piano track. Kind of new age.

Seventh Track – Funky Chiptune jams!

Eighth Track – Big orchestral prelude kind of thing.

Seventh Track is now up and ready for your game (Chiptune!)

Who doesn’t love Chiptune? Well, some people don’t. But that’s OK. This is my second, and penultimate, submission to my version of the Ludum Dare challenge. One more to go! Hope you like it! Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! :)

By request from a Twitter user, here’s a spacey new-age track. Great for puzzles, exploration, or chilling out on menus. Hope you like it! Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! Can I finish two more tracks today? We’ll see!

Running low on time so I did some improvised piano. I did some bitcrushing and layered some extra synths on it for extra color. I like how it turned out, but it’s pretty simple. Hope you like it! Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! More tracks on the way :)

This was a request from some friends who are doing a Shmup game. It’s a bit of a short loop, but I really like how it turned out! Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! More tracks on the way :)

Unlike my first track which was super chill, this is all beats and bass. Might sound good with battles or something else. Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! More tracks on the way tomorrow. Good luck!

It’s a chill loop, good for puzzle games and the like. Going to work on something more upbeat now. Feel free to download and use (with attribution, of course) in your 72-hour jam! More tracks on the way; my goal is 8.

Jammers, need some music in these final hours?

I am not a coder, so I challenged myself to write as much music as possible for the Ludum Dare. My goal was to make the music loopable and varied enough to be used in all sorts of game genres. I spent Friday night, all of Saturday, and most of Sunday writing eight song loops that you can download and use in your games with attribution. Enjoy! <3

I’m not a coder, so I’ve been challenging myself to make audio loops that would fit various video games. All these tracks are free to download and use for your game jams! I’m hoping to make three more tomorrow.

(remember that only game jams can use these since the solo challenge has to consist of all assets you’ve created yourself)

Since I am not a coder, I decided to take it upon myself to write as many music loops as possible that would fit with various game types and release them for free to all the game jammers out there. I’ve finished three tracks in the last 12 hours and am hoping to finish three more by the end of Saturday! Check them out on my Soundcloud if you’re looking for some background music for your game!
