So I’ve come back from my snowboard adventure.
















And now I’m gonna make a game about… snowboards!

Dinosaur Defense (or something like that)

Two worlds in one! In one world you play as a dinosaur. You stroll and chat with the other dinosaurs (other players) and hope you don’t die a horrible death. In another world you play as one of the spaceship pilots and shoot the asteroids to prevent them from wiping out the dinosaurs.

Levels are full of swift and armed enemies, and it’s your job to kill them all! You hove your trusty knife and pistol but… you only have one bullet. It’s not just any bullet though, it’s an enemies-penetrating, walls-ricocheting bullet. Are you prepared for stealth takedowns and lining up that perfect shot to kill them all? I sure hope so.

The most important part is done – The To-Do List. God, I love to-do lists. It’s so satisfying to finally draw that bold check after implementing yet another feature.

Also pathfinding is done (using http://www.arongranberg.com/astar/docs/index.php). Enemies patrol their parts of level, investigate weird noises nearby and have radio to communicate. Soon it’s gonna be time to write the player behavior.


I probably won’t be streaming this time, I’m not very talkative.

And I sure hope that I’ll manage to draw something even remotely okay.

Finally my project is finished. I worked hard and it was really enjoyable and unforgetable experience. I’m certainly looking forward to the next Ludum Dare.

You play as an organism “floating” in your environment, surrounded by other organisms (like Spore).  You fight them with attacks and abilities and gain exp for killing. When you reach a next level a boss appears. When you kill him you transfer to next game level.

With each level-up you can spend one point to upgrade your organism. The are different branches. You can be aggressive fighter, defence-oriented “tank”, evasive assassin etc.

5 hours and I finished my game. My first LD, btw.

You’re completely alone. You should find some friends to beat the game.
UP/W – Go up.
DOWN/S – Go down.
LEFT/A – Go left.
RIGHT/D – Go right.
