Ok… I don’t feel particularly inspired today.

But! I decided to do something I don’t usually do. An actiony game. So I’ll start a shooter with fancy programmer art. Let’s see what I can pull out…

Been feeling a little meh lately, and I can’t rest on Monday, but maybe, just maybe, I’m able to pull something out this weekend.

I downloaded and updated my repo so everything is up to date and running.

The game is looking quite great, and now it actually feels a little Luftrauser-like. Not that it is bad, but… well I wasn’t shooting for innovation this time. (<- tomorrow I’ll add THE MECHANIC if I have time).

Hi everyone.

Didn’t say anything because… well we’ve been too busy prototyping. Now we can release a screenshot of the game, formerly inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road, and now… well, we decided to change the art and setting like… 100%

Hopefully we’ll show the new direction in the next post. For now just imagine we are making a game about exploding truks. Wich we aren’t. And that some trucks were shapeshifters (your, basically). Well, we’re making this game, just in another setting.

Missing balance

Heh, I’m getting proud of this stupid game I’m making here. I learned jQuery and such, so now you can play a “feature complete” version.

What’s missing? Well, balancing the game. And I doubt I’ll add anything else, ’cause I’m a little bit tired and I’ve been this week ill, so a little rest won’t hurt anyone, right?

Bon dia.

After a night’s sleep, I got some ideas. The first is that the game needs some simplification, the removal of some buildings/resources that are mere duplicates of others and don’t add anything to gameplay.

Then I’ll add advanced versions of the remaining buildings, a soft reset and a save functionality and the game will be ready for balancing!

I thing I have the complete gameplay for the game. Tomorrow I’ll add more buildings and such, hopefully some save feature, and then I’ll concentrate on some “quality touches”.

Guten Morgen!!!!

Hi, I’m not german 😛 but I like this salute as I find it energetic enough (I studied german for some year).

Stop rambling…

Ok, I don’t feel like doing a full LD experience, as I’m kind of sick, I did a game jam 1 week ago and I have way too many projects I don’t want to get too excited with this one may I be tempted to add it to the “to improve” list.

So, I’m going for something simple.

I woke up at 5 or 6 am, as I can’t sleep at the beginning of a LDJAM, and I got an interesting idea about spheres battling between them, absorving one another, some screenshake and fitting with the “growing” theme. So, I’ll make an Idle game instead 😀

I spend the last 2 hours learning jQuery, remembering some of what I knew of HTML and now I thing I have all the tools I’ll need to develop a simple Idle game about a colony in outher space, just to experiment with the genre and learn a thing or 2. The plan is to sleep a little more, then lay out the complete rules of the game and hopefully implement them today, so tomorrow I have time to add some flavour, finishing touches and, who knows balancing and such.

Sound like a plan, huh?

Here I will be posting the game from time to time.

Of course there is not everything I designed into the game, but I won’t be adding any functionality. This is the game playable at it’s final form…

Now some sound. Polish some assets. Make moar missions… Yeah, it is going well 😀

Today I did mostly engine work. Sprites and Text, mostly. I hope tomorrow I’ll be able to concentrate on gameplay, and monday on polishing…
