About Anti (twitter: @https://twitter.com/AntiSC2)

I'm a sixteen year old boy who loves programming and making games. Started making games about when I was 9 and kept going since then.
I have a lot of experiences making games in Game Maker, C++ and Java. Currently I'm learning to use Unreal Engine while also developing a simple C++ engine that can be used for my 2D games as I don't like the 2D support in Unreal.

I’m in again for the 7th time

I’m actually starting to get somewhat experienced with this. Yeah! I have one problem though, I have not developed any games in a pretty long time. I have been busy working on some projects, some of them are related to games, some are not. But one of the projects I have been working on is a game engine that I can use for Ludum Dare competitions. Here is the github page. Unfortunately I have not been able to implement all the features yet so I have decided not to use that. I will be using these tools instead:

  • Game engine/editor: Godot
  • Text editor: Neovim
  • Image editor: Krita
  • Sound / music: Undecided, can hopefully just choose something simple

The next weekend is going to be really fun. Good luck to everyone!

I’m in again but this time is going to be special.

I’m so excited for another Ludumdare and this one is going to be really special for me. First of all I’m going to use a new engine that I have never used before, the godot engine. Second of all is that I’m going to spend the entire saturday developing my game on a laptop. The reason behind the laptop is that I will be sitting on a train the entire saturday and therefore I will need to use a laptop and to top it all off, the train doesn’t have wi-fi. Using a new engine that I have never used before without an Internet connection is going to be quite interesting. But anyway, here is the list of all the tools I will be using:

This Ludumdare is going to be really awesome, I can already feel it! Good luck everyone! 😀

I’m going to participate for the fourth time in Ludum dare. I’m so excited! :) This will probably be the last time I use my own C++ engine. Next Ludum dare I will probably use Unreal Engine 4 or libGDX. But here is the list of stuff I’m going to use:

Programming language: C++

IDE: Visual Studio Express 2013

Engine: SchoolEngine

Art & textures: GIMP & Paint.NET

Sound: Bfxr

Music: Abundant-Music

Ludum dare is always such a special event to me. I can’t wait to get started. Good luck everyone!

Finally decided

I said last week that I was going to participate in Ludum dare 31, my third Ludum dare. Now I have decided which tools to use. Here is the list:

Language/IDE: C++ / CodeBlocks

Engine: SchoolEngine, an engine that I have created with OpenGL and SDL.

Graphics: Paint.net & Gimp

Sound: BFXR

Music: Abundant Music & Audacity

That is everything I think. Good luck everybody! 😀

I’m in!

I will participate in my third ludum dare event! Yeah! I have no plans for the tools or engines I will be using so I have to figure that out. But I think I will be okay. What’s the worst thing that can happen?

My second Ludum dare is almost complete!

Just published my game, 4in1,  for the 48-hour comp for the second time. It feels good. I’m happy with the end result and cant wait how the ratings turn out. But this ludum dare didn’t have the same feeling for like last time. Last time I had more of an actual game. I spent several hours planning last time and managed to rush the game out, just a couple of hours before the deadline. Now because of the theme I didn’t get in a good mood and I was planning on skipping this ludum dare. But then I realised I could make simple mini-games without much effort and connect them in a special way. The idea turned out great even though I didn’t put much effort into the mini-games them self. I didn’t have the motivation like last time. I was never stressed with this game or had a difficult problem to solve with this one. I actually finished like 8 hours before the deadline and I didn’t even spend the  whole day programming. So here’s a list of what I could have done better:

  • I could have done a much better job planning the mini-games.
  • The graphics suck for this game. Could have improved them alot.
  • Added more of objectives to the mini-games. In the highway game I could easily added a fuel you have to collect.
  • I was really lazy. I could have a done a better job in general and added more things. Even though I was this lazy I finished hours before the deadline which shows that this was a too simple game for me to make.

Now it’s done and this is now in the past. Like I said before I’m still happy how it turned out and the general idea was good but it could have been so much more than 4 simple games. Now it’s just to wait for the ratings to see how everything turned out. This was just a small write-up over my experience with ludum dare 30. Hope everybody had a good contest(I know that there are several hours left but I don’t really care)!screenshot104

The ratings just finished and even though I came #1063 it was still a great experience to not only making a game but to play others as well.

Thank you guys who participated. Hopefully we all will do better next time.

Hope to see you guys in 93 days! (Sorry for bad english, not my native language.)
