Santa’s bag is growing!

Second theme mechanic in place. The more presents you collect, the larger the bag will get. This will make you run slower, but you’ll also have more items at your disposal to use.

Thank goodness I finally got around to making the most important part of the game – the collectibles!

Bomb Boy can now get in a cannon that will launch him to new heights!

Tomorrow I can actually make the level and then do the models.

Bomb Boy can explode (just a little) to give his jump a boost. It also breaks walls!

He can also light his fuse to run faster. If he runs into a wall, he will can break it!

Dialogue system finished. It’s very rudimentary, but it works well enough.

Bomb Boy is not content with just double-jumping! For a short while, light up his fuse and take off running!

Also started on the NPCs. This is Bow Girl.

I haven’t really nailed down the details of this game yet. It’s going to be a 3D platformer. So far, I’ve got the movement and art done for the character.

Here is some basic camera movement / animations.

And here is Bomb Boy trying a double jump! Looks painful…

The Kraken is a formidable foe! Hit him in the eyes, but watch out because he’s got a few tricks.

You’ll have to be quick on your feet to dodge the tentacles.

Well… he’s a magical Kraken, of course he can shoot lasers.

A satisfying end.

The last enemy is programmed. Animation took forever!

The parrot will swoop at you after a bit, so watch out.

If you can hit him before he comes after you though, he’ll explode in a puff of feathers.
