Not sure if i’ll be finishing this Ludum Dare because I’m busy all day Saturday so I might just do the 72 hour jam, but it depends on the theme.

So its been a day since I finished and I think I did pretty well. I am getting positive feedback in the comments and I don’t think there were many errors in the game. I am very satisfied with what I got done.

I have the basic game mechanics done. The concept is travelling around the level to collect the gems. Each time a gem is collected, the level “shapeshifts” into something harder to get the next gem. There are also bullets to dodge and other enemies to avoid. Spacebar shoots an orb which slows the enemies and slows the rate of fire of guns, making things a bit easier. Current name for this is “Trapped in the Void”

I’ll be doing the 48 hr compo.
Ill be using:
-Gamemaker:Studio
-GraphicsGale (possibly)
-SFXR for sound
Will also try to make it for android as well like my game in LD34
The main idea behind my game is that every time you kill the opponent, it grows back as something bigger and stronger, and you have to kill as many as you can before they kill you. It also follows the 2 button controls, using C and V to move side to side and holding both together to shoot. I have 5 different monsters so far, and plan for a few more. I still need to add a start and end screen as well as some sound and some improved graphics.
This is my second ludum dare and I’m using game maker studio.
This will be my first time entering and im going into the compo using gamemaker: studio and pobably sfxr for sounds n stuff

Im using gamemaker studio
I’m 15 years old and this will be my first Ludum Dare. I’ll be using Game Maker Studio v1.2 and I can’t wait to get started! I’ve got tonnes of great ideas to put to use.
