Hi there!

One week in, and judging by the reviews, it seems like nobody has managed to beat our game yet.

We thought people would think elsewise. Still, we think the difficulty level is fair.

We are curious to see someone finish it, would love to see a video or a screenshot of it being beaten.

Anyway, this is our game:

And all you need to do is get to the top and defeat the annoying wizard:

May the wooden path lead you to victory!! đŸ˜€

The Ball Wizard!

Alright, we have a complete game. However, since we’re doing the jam, we have another day to do final touches and bug fixes!

The Ball Wizard is a game about the bad kind of shape-shifting; unwanted for the one who tries to reach greater heights.

Here’s a video of the title menu, will add more videos soon..

Yay! All done!

We submitted our game just now.

Only two levels were made and the game is a bit short. I am however satisfied with the completeness of the game.

The hardest part was brainstorming the “Connected worlds” theme.

None of us were excited about the theme and we probably wasted 6 – 7 hours just coming up a theme.

I think this is the reason why the levels where hard to come up with.

Anyhow, we are both happy with creating a game. I have this refreshing feeling about it. I really like Ludum Dare.

Almost threw in the towel!

Ran into some code related problems. The main idea with this game is to eat smaller jellyfish in order to grow. To do this I had to resize both graphics and physics, and I did not prepare my code for it! Solved it by creating new objects where the old ones used to be. Not perfect, but it works!

Here comes a video of a tiny jellyfish:

And one with a large jellyfish absorbing a smaller one:

Here comes a screenshot from my team’s game, “Scyphozoa”..

(Using Monogame + Farseer physics)

I really like the theme that was picked, excited to see all the epic games being created this weekend. :>
