The Genuine Earthmen (DaanVanYperen and myself) had a good first day! We settled on an idea very quickly, and I sketched out a super basic concept (and I do mean super basic, see below).
After that we started adding ideas, then stripped that list of ideas down to the bare necessities to get a functioning game going. I blocked out a very basic tileset (see below) so Daan could get started putting together the game while I began digging through photos of public bathrooms.
I grabbed some colours from a photo of a bathroom that I liked and began replacing the magenta/cyan wonder you see above with something a little more pleasing (see below). The player is animated (6 frames walking, with three different objects in hand possible) as is the guest character (6 frames walking animation with four possible emotions). Tomorrow I aim to add several more guest characters so they don’t all look alike. After that comes sound and music. Now sleep.
