Good day 2, everybody!
I polished the first level a bit, and added health and mana counters. Mana is used to shift planes.
My current design philosophy is to:
- Provide alternate paths. In the screenshot, you can either go right above the saws and risk losing health, or go left and use mana to reveal a shortcut.
- Don’t make shifting mandatory all the time. If there are places where you can’t pass without shifting, make sure there is enough distance between them to regenerate your mana.
Today I plan to work on graphics and add at least one more level. Maybe I’ll even submit my game, but I think I’ll have to go for the jam.
