IX rules for greatness at Ludum Dare (maybe)

1. game revolves around one screen if not then screens that are very simple
2. controls: simple
3. a win condition is to survive as long as possible with some kind of a score progression
4. a lose condition
5. an element of randomness (discovery)
6. choices to be made or characters to pick (expression)
7. story told through gameplay/meaningful gameplay (narrative)
8. a one or a few of very simple music tracks
9. sounds for every thing happening

(these are the rules i wrote for myself to follow while designing a ludum dare game)
