Physics Engine: Complete

As is my custom, I started out by writing a physics engine. Right now, my game looks like this:

Now, all that’s left is to add some gameplay, which is the easy part. Oh, and art and stuff. My idea is to make a game where the player is constantly in motion and leaves a trail behind them, which they can later use as a platform. Thus, I’ve made a physics engine capable of handling circle-parabola collisions since the player (who will be represented by a circle internally) can leave behind parabolic paths*. I’m also planning to use two-button controls – one to jump, and one to slide along/under things. I’m hoping that I can make some interesting puzzles using the mechanic, though I’m not entirely sure yet – I don’t want the game to end up just being “player gets confused and suffocates in their own paths”.

*Strictly speaking, a player walking on a parabola does not follow a parabolic path, but we’re gonna pretend like they do by fitting it to a parabola. Hopefully that looks okay.
